Today's episode is not your typical Motivational Monday, but I believe there's strength in vulnerability and power in sharing our struggles. I open up about receiving some heavy news today. Hearing about the passing of NBA legend Dikembe Mutombo hit me hard. I didn't know him personally, but I saw him at countless events around Atlanta. His passing is a stark reminder of life's fragility.
Later, I joined a prayer call with my home church in New York. It was uplifting, but as we wrapped up, I got a text that a close friend had a stroke. He's like a brother to me, and the news left me unsettled. Shortly after, I received an obituary for a young man knew. The weight of these events was overwhelming, and it made me reflect on the importance of being truthful and transparent about our feelings.
We all go through tough times, and it's crucial to express ourselves rather than bottle things up. I hope by sharing my experiences, it encourages you to be open about whatever you are going through. Find someone you can confide in, whether it's a friend, mentor, or professional. Prioritize your health and well-being, and remember to pray for your loved ones. If you ever need someone to talk to, reach out to me. Thank you for listening today. Remember, you're not alone, and it's okay to be transparent about your feelings.
