In this episode, we're stepping away from the regular weekly format and just sitting on The Corner having a real, unscripted conversation. No agenda, just truth. And trust me, this truth? You need to hear it.
Today, I'm talking about preparation. Not the panic kind, not the doomsday kind, but the practical, faith-driven, love-your-family kind of preparation that we all need to be doing right now. I'm walking you through a real checklist: generators, water storage, fire safety, fire-retardant blankets, emergency communication plans — the kind of stuff we all say we'll get to one day. Family, one day needs to be today. I even share a personal story about my mom being in New York during a 911 emergency and how that experience reminds me what it means to truly have a plan.
But we go even deeper than physical preparedness. We're talking wills, trusts, powers of attorney, the five-year Medicaid look-back rule — and I'm sharing a painful family story about how my great-grandmother lost her Brooklyn home because proper legal planning wasn't in place. This is generational wealth we're talking about, and too many of our families are losing what they've built because nobody told them the rules. I'm here to change that. I want us all to be legally protected, financially aware, and ready to pass something meaningful down to the next generation.

And before I close, I need to ask you all to send up some prayers for my Aunt Myrtle — 84 years old and facing open heart surgery. This one hit close to home and it reminded me why I do this show. We are family. And family looks out for each other. So tune in, take notes, share this episode with someone you love, and let's make sure we're all truly ready — not just getting ready. I love y'all. Let's tap in.
