Motivational Monday - Closer To My Dreams
Monday Mar 11, 2024
Monday Mar 11, 2024
In today's episode, I want to discuss the power of our dreams and how they can shape our journey towards success, fulfillment, and the joys of life. I'm diving deep and laying out all the essential steps you need to grab hold of your dreams and make them your reality. Dreaming isn't just about wishful thinking; it's about tapping into our deepest desires and painting a vivid picture of the life we want to live. Whether it's envisioning ourselves crushing it in our careers, fostering meaningful connections, or embarking on epic adventures, our dreams set the stage for our future endeavors.
Take it from me—each dream I've pursued, from my hoop dreams to my current ventures, has required dedication, hustle, and unwavering consistency. It's through taking action that we turn our dreams into reality. But you have to remember, dreams alone won't get us there. We've got to roll up our sleeves and put in the work. As the saying goes, Faith Without Works Is Dead. We've got to take intentional steps towards our dreams, no matter how big or small they are.
So, how do we Get Closer To Our Dreams? It starts with clarity—visualizing our goals and setting clear intentions. Then, it's all about taking consistent action and staying open to opportunities along the way. And most of all NEVER STOP DREAMING.
Let's dive into this episode and explore how we can turn our dreams into tangible results. Listen Now:

Thank God For Everything (TGIF) - Just Say Thanks!!!
Friday Mar 08, 2024
Friday Mar 08, 2024
In this episode we're talking about gratitude. You know, I've always been a firm believer in the idea that we should never take anything for granted. Whether it's the love and support of our community or the little moments that bring us joy, there's always something to be thankful for. And that's exactly what I want to emphasize here - the importance of being thankful for every single moment, every single breath.
I recently had a truly touching experience that I want to share with you all. I visited a memory care center and was reminded of the incredible importance of showing love and selflessness to those in need. Despite the challenges they face, there's still so much joy and beauty to be found in their presence. It's moments like these that remind me just how blessed we are to have each other.
So, how do we show our gratitude for the blessings in our lives? Well, it's simple really - by giving back. Whether it's volunteering your time at a local charity or simply lending a helping hand to a friend in need, there are countless ways we can express our gratitude to God and the universe for all that we have been given. And let me tell you, there's nothing more fulfilling than knowing you've made a positive impact on someone else's life.

In this episode, I open up an give you insight into Coach Ed. LOL. Yes you read that right, today I pill back another layer of who you hear and see today. We're diving deep into my world of mentorship, personal growth, and the incredible impact it has had on me over the year. Come with me as I take a trip down memory lane, reminiscing about my early days of coaching and the seeds we planted in my many young players' lives.
The essence of the episode lies in the power of mentorship. I shared stories of players reaching out, expressing their thanks, and acknowledging the impact of those early coach-player relationships. As a coach, the blood, sweat, and tears we poured into them, not always knowing if they were truly soaking it in. But guess what? The messages I've been receiving from these players, now grown and navigating the journey of life, have been nothing short of inspiring. It's a beautiful thing to witness how the tough love, discipline, and life lessons we instilled in them back then are now bearing fruit. From career successes to personal growth, these players are a testament to the enduring influence of mentorship.
As I dove into their messages, I couldn't help but feel a swell of pride and joy. They're out there, making strides, and some are even paying it forward by becoming mentors themselves. It's like watching the seeds we planted grow into strong, resilient trees, providing shade for others in their journey.
I challenged each of you to get involved in mentorship, to support programs that make a difference, and to share their own mentorship journeys. The goal? To create a ripple effect of positive change and inspire others to give back.
This episode was more than just a broadcast; it was a conversation, a call to community, and a celebration of the incredible impact we can have on one another's lives. So, if you haven't caught it yet, hit play, soak in the stories, and let's keep this wave of inspiration rolling!
So, grab a cup of coffee, hit that share button, and listen now:
Lastly, you don't have to be an athlete to be a mentor. Whether it's reading to kids, coaching, or just offering guidance, there are countless ways to mentor in your community. Consider supporting programs that make a difference in young lives. A shoutout to Choice Management Knights in Covington, Georgia. If you want to contribute, reach out and I'll put you in contact with the director of the program! As a bonus, I wanted to share a powerful morning prayer I came across that inspired me. Let's support the young man that I heard pray on IG THATPATB2.

In this episode, I open up and share my emotions tied to January 30th, recounting the memories, the pain, and the love that lingers for my Grandmother. See, yesterday marked the anniversary of a significant day in my life, January 30th. It's not just any day; it's the day my grandmother passed away. I wanted to share this moment with you all, get a bit vulnerable, and reflect on the impact it has had on me. Sleepless nights and heavy hearts – it's real, and it's raw. I encourage you to join me on this journey, to understand why reaching out to our loved ones matters more than we may realize. It's a universal message, one that goes beyond the dates on the calendar.
