Thank God For Everything (TGIF) - ’The Time You Can’t Get Back’ Matthew 6:34
Friday Mar 24, 2023
Friday Mar 24, 2023
In this episode of 'Thank God For Everything (TGIF)', I talk about a topic that we can all relate to: TIME. Specifically, I dive into the concept of time that we can never get back. It's easy to get caught up in the past or the future, but the present moment is all we truly have.
Drawing from Matthew 6:34, I share some insights on how we can better appreciate and make the most of the time we have. I also touch on the importance of balancing productivity with rest and self-care, as well as the value of being present and mindful in each moment.
As always, I offer practical tips and personal anecdotes to make this message accessible and actionable. Whether you're struggling with time management or just looking for some inspiration to live more fully in the present, this episode has something for you.
I've learned that worrying about tomorrow can take away from today's enjoyment. We can never get back the time we spend worrying, stressing, or being negative. Instead, we should focus on being grateful for the present moment and making the most of it. Every Second Counts!!!
So join me in exploring the topic of time that we can't get back, and learn how to make the most of each precious moment. Don't forget to subscribe and share with anyone who could use a little reminder to appreciate the present.

When My Sistah Wins We All Win - ft. Dr. Dee Poe
Wednesday Mar 22, 2023
Wednesday Mar 22, 2023
Welcome to another episode of Cousin Ed's Corner, where we continue to highlight dynamic Sistahs who are making a positive impact in our world. In this episode, I had the pleasure of speaking with Dr. Dee Poe about her organization, GlassSoldiers.org, and the remarkable work she is doing to eliminate military sexual trauma.
Dr. Dee's organization is dedicated to eliminating sexual assault in the military, and she is committed to being both duty-bound and data-driven in her efforts. During our conversation, she bravely shared her own experiences with sexual violence and domestic abuse, and spoke candidly about the reasons she is so passionate about helping other service moms, wives, and aunts deal with these issues within the ranks of the military.
It's crucial for all of us to understand the prevalence of sexual and domestic violence, not only on the home front, but also within our armed forces. Dr. Dee's work is critical in combatting the culture of pervasive sexual violence, sexual harassment, and retribution against victims that has unfortunately been allowed to persist within the military.
I urge all of our listeners to tune in to this episode and to support Dr. Dee and GlassSoldiers.org in their efforts to end the epidemic of rape and sexual trauma within the armed forces. This work is important, impactful, and necessary, and we must all do our part to ensure that it continues. Thank you for joining us on Cousin Ed's Corner, and until next time, stay safe and stay tuned.

Monday Mar 20, 2023
Monday Mar 20, 2023
On today's episode of Motivational Monday, I want to talk about what to do when it's sometimes difficult to stay motivated.
Let's face it, we all have those days where we wake up feeling like today is not the day or we just don't want to get out of bed. And that's okay. There's nothing wrong with acknowledging that feeling. But what's important is that we continue to go on.
One way to stay motivated is to seek outside affirmations or people who can help motivate us past that point. Sometimes, using our outside resources can help get us up and going.
Another significant factor is knowing that God is on our side. When we have faith and trust in Him, we can be motivated to keep moving forward.
Lastly, let's remember the least of them and help others. Sometimes, helping others can motivate us and remind us of the greater purpose in life.
So, when you're feeling unmotivated, don't give up. Seek outside help, trust in God, and remember the power of helping others.
Don't forget to check out our website for more entertaining episodes and resources. Thanks for tuning in to Cousin Ed's Corner!

Wednesday Mar 15, 2023
Wednesday Mar 15, 2023
Welcome to Cousin Ed's Corner, where we bring you inspiring stories and insightful conversations that will leave you feeling empowered and motivated. In this episode, I had the pleasure of speaking with the amazing Pamela Harris about her book, Mama Said Moments: 10 Things to Remember When Life Gets Hard.
Pam shares how the inspiration for her book came after her mother's sudden passing during heart surgery. Despite the difficulties, her mother had unwavering faith and trust in God, which left a lasting impact on Pam. Her mother's passing left her with deep sadness, but she also remembered the way her mom could bring a smile to people's faces during tough times.
Through her grief counseling sessions, Pam realized that her mother had left her with many life lessons and decided to share them with the world in her book. Mama Said Moments is a heartfelt and inspiring guide that reminds us of the importance of having faith, staying positive, and seeking help when needed.
During our conversation, Pam shared some of the key takeaways from her book, including the importance of cherishing your loved ones, being present in the moment, and having a positive mindset. She also emphasized the importance of seeking help when life gets tough, whether it's through counseling, therapy, or talking to a trusted friend or family member.
This episode is a must-listen for anyone who is struggling through a tough time or looking for inspiration and guidance on how to overcome life's challenges. So, make sure to tune in and share your feedback with us.

Motivational Monday - Be Easy ft. Qiana Howell
Monday Mar 13, 2023
Monday Mar 13, 2023
I was thrilled to have Qiana Howell join me on this week's episode of Cousin Ed's Corner. As a woman who has achieved so much, Qiana emphasized the importance of Being Easy on oneself in the pursuit of success. She spoke about how social media and television can create unrealistic expectations. We must remember that successful people have endured through their fair share of setbacks, rejections, and failures.
During our conversation, Qiana highlighted how life can throw unexpected obstacles in our paths, serving as distractions and barriers to our success. However, she urged listeners to continue being easy on themselves as they strive to reach their goals. Her words really resonated with me, and I'm sure they will inspire many others to take a more forgiving approach to their journey.
Qiana's message was clear: we need to be patient and kind to ourselves, as well as believe in the power of God. By keeping faith, we can overcome any challenge and achieve our dreams. Her advice was particularly pertinent during Women's History Month, as we reflect on the progress that women have made and the challenges we still face.
As always, I encourage you to leave feedback for the show, and I'm excited to hear their thoughts on this episode. I'm sure it will resonate with many, and I can't wait to see the positive impact it has.

Thank God For Everything (TGIF) - There’s Nothing Wrong With Tradition!!!
Friday Feb 24, 2023
Friday Feb 24, 2023
Welcome to this exciting episode of Cousin Ed's Corner, Thank God For Everything (TGIF) - There's Nothing Wrong With Tradition!!! , where I take you on a trip down memory lane as I visit my childhood church in Brooklyn, New York. This nostalgic journey was an opportunity for me to reconnect with my roots and relive the memories of growing up in the church. I share my experiences of attending church with my family, participating in Sunday school classes, and singing in the choir.
During my visit, I was reminded of the significance of keeping traditions alive, especially in the context of raising kids in the church. I discuss how the traditions of the church can instill values and principles in young minds that can guide them throughout their lives. By bringing back the tradition of raising kids in the church, we can create a sense of community and belonging that is missing in today's society.
I also share my thoughts on the impact of technology on our lives and how it has taken away the value of personal connections. The church provides a unique opportunity for people to come together, connect with one another, and develop meaningful relationships that can last a lifetime.

Motivational Monday - Fertile Soil
Monday Feb 13, 2023
Monday Feb 13, 2023
On this episode, I'm talking about the importance of having fertile soil in your life. If you're feeling stuck or unfulfilled, this episode is for you.
I start by discussing how God uses fertile soil to bring renewal and growth in our lives. Just like a garden, we need to make sure our hearts are in a good place, free of negative thoughts and beliefs. This means we need to take care of our mental and emotional health, and sometimes that means separating ourselves from negative influences.
Next, I talk about the importance of having accountability partners and close friends. These people help us stay on track and encourage us when we need it the most. It's important to surround yourself with people who uplift you and support your goals.
Finally, I discuss the impact that our closest friends and partners have on our lives. They can be a mirror, reflecting back to us who we truly are. So, choose wisely who you surround yourself with, because they will play a big role in shaping your future.
