On a recent episode of Cousin Ed's Corner, I talked about a play called GodsGuys that I watched this Father's Day weekend with my dad. It was a powerful experience that reminded me of the struggles that black men go through in life. I encourage you all to watch it too! π
It's important to appreciate the people in our lives and seek help when needed, especially when it comes to mental health. Let's break the stigma and create a space for people to connect, learn from each other, and communicate. π¬
This Father's Day weekend was a time for me to reflect on my relationship with my own father and my experience as a father myself. I realized the importance of being present in my kid's lives and giving back to the community by mentoring and coaching.ππΎ
I want to encourage all the dads out there to prioritize your children and focus on what you can do for them, rather than what you can get for yourself. Let's be positive role models and do something for the least of those who may not have a father figure in their household. ππΎ
