In Today's Episode, we're winding down on a Wind Down Wednesday and getting honest about something most of us are guilty of. I share a question that I saw today that stopped me in my tracks: 'What's harder, working or working out?' This question reminded me how we are programmed to work, but we were never programmed to work out. FAM, sit with that one for a minute.
Because here's the truth. If your employer said be there tomorrow, you'd be there. Tired, sore, bad mood, traffic, none of it would stop you. So why is the one employer we keep calling out on ourselves? A lot of us put in that work in the spring so we could feel right for the summer, got the white tees, got the shorts, got the sundresses, and then enjoyed ourselves so much that we let all of it go. I'm not telling you to stop enjoying your summer. I'm telling you not to lose in August what you built in May.
In this one I'm talking about setting your fall goals now instead of waiting for fall to show up, why taking care of yourself is bigger than the gym, and why rest counts just as much as reps. Some days it's the walk. Some days it's the water. Some days it's the park. And some days, like today for me, it's laying it down and getting some rest. I'm preaching to myself on this one just as much as I'm preaching to you.

Drop me a comment and tell me what's been keeping YOU consistent this summer, and then go do the real work: ask one person to walk with you this week. Park, track, neighborhood, 5K, some of y'all will run it and some of y'all will walk it. Both count. Let's keep building this thing together. πͺπΎ Connect with Cousin Ed: 762-333-2032 or @CousinEdsCorner on all platforms. Cousin Ed's Corner is not just about motivation, we're living it.
